Clever John. Three variations of the same basic design. I chose the Edsel version first overal due to its unique front end and rarity. Second would be the Ford and Mercury last. I find them all fairly attractive.

I give the nod to the Mercury styling by just a pug nose over the Ford.  The Edsel's taillights place it a distant third; they are totally at odds with the rest of the car.

They all look good, although the Edsel was more a variation of the big standard Ford before it was discontinued by Ford.

John, you brilliant chess master! OK, I'll play but I'm going about this on the basis of which one causes me the least amount of pain and anguish first through third.

Clean and trim, the Sunliner looks the part of playing a Bullet Bird's big cousin. Next, the Merc has a n ice and smooth demeanor and is awesome in that color combo. The Edsel HAS to trail, from my vantagepoint only, since it is so fussy in design.

I would have to go with the Mercury.  The Edsel design team was disengaged. I wonder if they gave it to the junior team to work on.  The Ford is on the plain side compared to the 1959. Actually they look on the plain side. 1960 was a styling disaster for most automakers. Transition year.

Ford for me. It has the cleanest look to me. Mercury next.

"1960 was a styling disaster for most automakers. Transition year." thanks Car224,  '60 was better than the '58 - '59's. Loved full -size cars '61 - '64 styling. Loved most mid-size '65 - '70 for their styling & performance.

1.Ford

2.Mercury

3.Edsel

Mercury, Ford and Edsel. My first wife had a 60 Mercury Park Lane convertible when I first met her but I won't hold that against the car.

Well, this is somewhat of a tough choice for me. I really like all three for different reasons. 1st, if the Mercury had been a Park Lane, that would be my choice. The Ford and Edsel are pretty much tied, but today I'll pick the Edsel because of its rarity, followed by the Ford and finally the Mercury.

John, the Park Lane had a much higher MSRP than the Monterey. For this exercise I wanted all three cars to have similar price points.

Since I am only looking at the front of each car,  my choice is Edsel, Mercury, than the Ford.
