The "Coke-bottle" body style makes Pontiac the easy winner for me today!

Tie. Two of my favorite cars for 1964. I like the Pontiac just a bit more.
I have always loved both of these cars!!
By a slim decision, I'm going Poncho!
GREAT comparo John!!
I didn't even look at the photos before I voted for the Pontiac.

Hard to compare two different price point cars, the Pontiac is one place higher on the price point and thus should be a bit nicer. And it is.
Pontiac please.
Although both are beautiful, you guys already know my answer. 😁
Bruce, not too much difference in price points.Hard to compare two different price point cars, the Pontiac is one place higher on the price point and thus should be a bit nicer. And it is.

1964 MSRP base price for a Ford Galaxy XL Convertible was $3,495
1964 MSRP base price for a Pontiac Catalina Convertible was $3,185
The Pontiac is $310 less than the Ford.

Pontiac for the excellent styling.
Sorry guys, I went with the Ford, as the 64 was my favorite year.
I prefer the styling of the shoulder years of both these cars, although I still like them very much. Having driven both of these cars I give the nod to the Pontiac for its superior styling and handling.
Like, Moe, I was taken with the coke bottle styling of the Pontiac. These two are closer in price Han I had thought. Thanks John.
I've always thought the 64 Galaxy was a well designed car but the Pontiac's stacked headlights and distinctive grill treatment make it my choice.

I never consider price range when I'm looking at these "Which Ones?". My eyes focus on the look and styling of the car. The one that I'd like to own is dependent on that. In the case of todays examples, both are very appealing and easy to like. I've seen many expensive and some not so expensive that are Butt Ugly (to me) and I'd not want to be near it. But yes, price does matter of course.

For '64, I really like both. The Ford's styling and look had improved so much from the (in my opinion) unattractive '61s and the '64 is the last year I could even look at a full-size Ford. The '65s were way to boxy looking for my taste.
As for the Pontiac, it was a on a roll with it seemingly getting more pleasing looking every year since the really bland '60 version.
So these thoughts shared, TODAY I vote for the PONTIAC! But I'd take the keys to either in a heartbeat!
